Due to their extreme speed, Silithids excel on boss fights with extremely high movement and target switching. Silithids are the fastest Hunter pet in the game. One of the downsides of having a Silithid is that you forgo some defensives that a Tenacity or Ferocity pet would give you through Endurance Training or Predator's Thirst. Master's Call is also extremely useful in PvP and acts as an additional Gladiator's Medallion. In PvP, Silithids can be very useful for different melee comps as Tendon Rip, Dune Strider and Pathfinding helps your pet stick on them like white on rice. In today's game, Silithids have niche uses in both raid and PvP. They first became tamable in the Wrath of the Lich King expansion. In 2006, Temple of Ahn'Qiraj was introduced, a 40-man raid in the heart of Silithis comprised of mostly Silithids.

The Sillithid burrow their underground hives all over southern Kalimdor, primarily occupying Silithis, Tanaris, Thousand Needles and Un'Goro Crater. We loved seeing all the awesome transmogs this week so keep them coming!Īqiris are an intelligent insectoid race, first introduced back in Vanilla. Thank you to all who entered! If you didn't win, don't worry! There will be many more opportunities to show of your pets and transmogs. Congratulations to Bunnybabe for winning that contest! At the end of each post, there will be a contest where you can post your best matching transmog with the pet family highlighted during that week! Winners will be chosen the following week and will be featured in the following Pet Series article. Welcome to the Hunter Pet Series! Each week we will highlight a particular pet family and give you a short summary of the pet along with how and where to find some of the more interesting tames.
